Our planned membership is $10/month with a free one-month trial for eligible new subscribers. It includes all core dating features: detailed filters, your matching radius, local verification, personal introductions, unlimited likes and matches, incoming likes, messaging, privacy tools, blocking and reporting. There are no boosts, paid visibility or surprise add-ons. Unlimited likes do not guarantee matches.

The trial begins when you subscribe through the App Store or Google Play, if the store confirms you are eligible. After one free month, membership automatically renews at $10/month unless canceled. Cancel in the store’s subscription settings before renewal; for an Apple trial, cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. The store confirms the applicable offer, renewal date, price and any tax before purchase. Store billing is still being configured, and no subscriptions are sold on this website.

Screenshot prevention uses the protections available on supported phones. It is designed to cover browsing, matched profiles and conversations. It cannot stop someone photographing a screen with another camera, and modified devices can bypass protections. Device testing is still in progress before launch.

Each protected profile-photo copy carries a pseudonymous watermark linked privately to its viewing session. We are also testing invisible watermarks: some cropping, resizing, compression and distortion tests have preserved the hidden mark, but others have not. Screenshot results are mixed. Photos taken with another camera and processing by third-party upload sites have not yet been validated. Photo Trail lets you submit a suspected leaked copy for private review; it does not monitor other websites. A recovered mark can help associate a copy with a viewing record, but cannot prove who photographed, uploaded or shared it. Watermarks can be removed, altered or forged, so additional evidence and human review are needed.

Discovery and matching require at least 14 distinct qualifying days of local presence, including during the free trial. A trial or payment does not skip that requirement or pause the subscription clock while you qualify. After verification, choose your radius around the verified area. Nearby towns do not need separate verification, and changing the radius does not restart it. Both people’s distance limits apply. VPNs are allowed; an IP address alone never proves local presence. Exact coordinates and location history stay private. Verification confirms specific checks, not that someone is safe.

Use your App Store or Google Play subscription settings to manage or cancel renewal. Access follows the store-confirmed subscription or trial end date; a trial may end sooner when canceled under the store’s rules. If payment fails, the app shows the issue and any confirmed grace period. After access expires, account management, subscription management and safety reporting remain available. Deleting your Latch account does not cancel a store subscription.

The Latch is in development, with Charleston planned as our first community. We are preparing for a U.S. launch for adults 18 and older. The features described here are being built and tested; App Store and Google Play downloads are not available yet.
